July 27, 2012 · Updated 9:49 AM
Last week SuperStock, an international leader in the licensing of imagery, announced their acquisition of Mercer Island-based Science Faction Images, owned by Islander Roger Ressmeyer.
Science Faction is “well-known in the industry for providing high-end, provocative science and high technology images to publishers, corporations and advertising agencies worldwide,” the press release said.
SuperStock CEO Lanny Ziering said, “We’re seeing robust growth in our global sales in the areas of science and technology. The work of Science Faction’s many talented photographers will allow us better serve our clients in publishing and advertising.”
“SuperStock and Science Faction are a perfect match,” said Ressmeyer, Science Faction’s founder and CEO. “SuperStock impresses me with their understanding and marketing enthusiasm, and especially with their understanding of our scientific subject matter. Their aggressive growth and expansion plans are what convinced us to accept this acquisition offer, which will be tremendously beneficial for our artists and clients alike.”
