Kemper Development Company is moving forward on the long-awaited expansion of Lincoln Square in Bellevue.
After a delay of nearly four years, the company has applied for a building permit. The project received approval for its design in early 2011.
Plans for the $850 million mixed-use development include a 120-room hotel, a residential tower with 200 units, 545,000 square feet of office space and 392,000 square feet of retail space.
Much of the development will happen on the former Safeway lot, now occupied by Your Local Market. The existing buildings will be demolished to make way for the new project.
