Community calendar | Emergency preparedness series wraps up this Saturday with shelter operation training

Red Cross Shelter Training, the 10th and final class in the 2010 Volunteer CERT Training Series, will be held this Saturday, Feb. 26, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Community Center at Mercer View, 8236 S.E. 24th Street. Attendees will learn how to assist in emergency shelter operation and will be certified to assist in such operation. Space is limited; RSVP to Officer Jennifer Franklin at (206) 275-7905.
