Mercer Island Girl Scout Troop 52691 has kept busy with projects helping those in need. In November, the girls hosted a diaper drive and collected over 3,000 diapers for WestSide Baby, a nonprofit organization that distributes diapers and other essential items to children in need throughout King County (www.westsidebaby.org).
The troop would like to thank the Lakeridge Elementary and Mercer Island communities for their generosity. In December, the troop hand-made fleece holiday blankets for the patients of Children’s Hospital.
