Nicole Marie Marshall and Craig James Armstrong, both of Portland, Ore., are engaged to be married on Sept. 10, 2011, in Seattle.

Ms. Marshall graduated from Mercer Island High School in 2002 and has a Bachelor of Science in biology from Santa Clara University, where she was affiliated with Kappa Alpha Theta fraternity. She is currently in her second year of the Physician Assistant Program at Oregon Health and Science University School of Medicine and will graduate in August 2011. Ms. Marshall is the daughter of George and Alice Marshall of Mercer Island.

Mr. Armstrong is a 2008 graduate of Western Washington University and has a Bachelor of Arts in business management. He is employed as a manager with Hertz Corp. in Vancouver, Wash. Mr. Armstrong is the son of Bonnie Armstrong of Woodinville, Wash.
