Mercer Island student selected for national leadership conference

Rebecca Charney, a junior at Mercer Island High School, has been selected to participate in the National Student Leadership Conference on forensic science this summer at the University of Maryland.

Charney will attend specialized workshops and classes designed to develop skills and traits that define a leader. Leading professionals and professors from top colleges facilitate the programs.

The National Student Leadership Conference is entering its 21st summer. The NSLC was established in 1989 to offer leadership conferences to high school students from around the world.
