This Saturday, letter carriers across the United States will collect food donations as part of the annual NALC Stamp Out Hunger National Food Drive, the largest one-day food drive in the country.

Letter carriers on Mercer Island will collect nonperishable food donations left by mailboxes and at post offices on Saturday, and deliver them to local food banks.

Simply leave a box or can of food next to a mail box this Saturday, and it will be picked up when the mail is delivered. Donations are taken to the post office, sorted and delivered to pantries and food banks.
