Katrina Welch and Matthew Reardon will be married in September.

Mary Margaret Welch and Dan Welch, of Mercer Island, are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Katrina, to Matthew Reardon, the son of Roberta and Thomas Reardon of Tacoma.

Welch graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Santa Clara University with a major in cellular and molecular biology and a minor in biotechnology. She did her Ph.D. graduate studies at the University of California at Irvine in molecular biology and biochemistry with a focus on cancer research.

Reardon also attended Santa Clara University and majored in economics and finance. He works for Hulu.

The two met in college.

The wedding will take place in September at the Kiana Lodge. They will take a honeymoon to Turkey.
