Mercer Island High School wins third straight WIAA scholastic cup

Mercer Island High School won the 3A 2010-2011 Washington Interscholastic Activities Association/Washington Army National Guard Scholastic Cup.

The school took the top honor for the third year in a row with 1775 points.

The Scholastic Cup is given to schools who earn the most number of points based on their participation in state championships throughout the year, as well as how they finish in the academic state championship categories.

MIHS earned 100 points for each first place finish the team, which included the band, boys swimming, boys tennis, choir, dance and drill, girls golf, girls swimming, girls tennis and orchestra.
