More Mercer Island graduate news

Four Islanders graduated from Seattle Preparatory School in Seattle. They included: Gabrielle Bird-Vogel, Michael Fletcher, Chris Fieldfine and Patrick Opie.

The Ordination of Mark Christopher Frame as a Pastor of Word and Sacrament was held at Mercer Island Presbyterian Church on June 11.

Stephany Frame, Mark’s spouse, graduated  from Seattle Pacific University on June 12.

Mark is a graduate of Mercer Island High School (1998), Seattle Pacific University and Princeton Theological Seminary.

He and his wife, Stephany, and two children live on Mercer Island.

They will be moving to Platte, S.D., to begin his position as pastor of Olive Presbyterian Church and Academy United Church of Christ.

Islander Taylor Cathcart attended his first two years of high school at Lakeside School, Seattle, and his last two years at Phillips Exeter Academy, Exeter, N.H., and graduated with highest honors at Phillips Exeter Academy on June 5. He was a National Merit Scholarship finalist and was also inducted into the Cum Laude Society, and will attend Dartmouth College this fall.

Three students from Mercer Island earned degrees at Boston University. They were: Sae Jin Park, Master of Science in information systems, and a Master of Business Administration in business administration  and management; Miriam C. Maritz, Bachelor of Art in psychology and Emily R. Barnyak, Bachelor of Science in communication, cum laude.

Boston University is the fourth largest independent university in the United States, with an enrollment of more than 29,000 students.
