Luther Burbank Park is a nominee in the Coca-Cola America Is Your Park Contest for the title of America’s favorite park and a grant for $100,000. The park that receives the most online votes wins the grant, and votes are unlimited. Second and third place winners will receive $50,000 and $25,000, respectively. Luther Burbank Park was nominated by the City of Mercer Island.

The voting contest is open until Sept. 6. The city plans to apply any prize money toward renovating the park playground if Luther Burbank wins.
