Spring recycling event planned for March 24

The annual spring recycling event will be held on Saturday, March 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mercer Island boat launch.
The event allows Islanders to dispose of old equipment and other household items filling their basements and garages. Residents can also donate money or food items to the Mercer Island Food Pantry during the event.
For a full list of the items that will be accepted, and those which will not be, visit the City's website at www.mercergov.org. Several new types of items will be accepted this year, including mattresses for a $10 fee. Call 275-7608 to learn more.
