Balinbin sings the national anthem at school assemblies and sports events. A member of the MIHS jazz choir and a cantor at St. Monica Catholic Church, she plans to major in music and focus on classical voice, and one day become a music teacher. The daughter of Dayton and Jeannie Balinbin, she sings at the Skyline Assisted Living Center and is a voice/performance tutor. She also volunteers for the St. Monica Gala Night Auction and tutors elementary students in English and math. She is a BRIDGES leader, and participates in Prevention M.A.T.T.E.R.S.

Reitinger is a captain on the MIHS varsity football team who was awarded KingCo honorable mention for the safety position both junior and senior years. He is a member of the Senior Service Club and participates in Safe Rides. The son of Bob and Kathy Reitinger, he volunteers as a Mercer Island Youth and Family Services Advisory Board representative and a youth football camp director. He plans to major in business at college, and possibly play football.

Both Balinbin and Reitinger are members of the National Honor Society.
