MISD board meeting Thursday, May 31 | School brief

The Mercer Island School District board of directors will hold their last meeting of the month on Thursday, May 31.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:45 p.m. with an executive session to discuss litigation with their attorney. The session is expected to be ore by 7 p.m. for the regular meeting agenda.

The board will recognize this year's Teachers of the Year, as well as view the highly capable program's video presentation, followed by public input.

Around 7:30 p.m. the board will move into work and deliberation, discussing the elementary highly capable math program, second year calculus and fifth and fourth year high school Spanish. The board will also discuss characteristics of an elementary sized site.

The board will next meet on June 7 at an early time, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. before heading to Mercer Island High School's graduation.
