Community calendar | Mercer Island Farmers Market bag giveaway

This Sunday, June 17, during the Mercer Island Farmers Market, visitors can earn a free Mercer Island Farmers Market reusable shopping bag. Shoppers just need to purchase items from three vendors to receive the bag. The farmers market is held every Sunday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Mercerdale Park, 77th Ave. S.E. and S.E. 32nd St. This Sunday’s music will feature Swamp Soul and the Cajun/Sydeco style.

"Insight and Memory" Art Exhibit Reception: 5:30-7:30 p.m., June 14, Aljoya Mercer Island second floor gallery, 2430 76th Ave. Mercer Island Visual Arts League (MIVAL) and Aljoya Mercer Island co-present "Insight and Memory," an art exhibit featuring MIVAL artists and their portrayals of life on Mercer Island.
