Mercer Island Thrift Shop 'goes Hawaiian' for sale

The Mercer Island Thrift Shop is holding a special sale this weekend with a Hawaiian theme.

Hawaiian themed items throughout the store will be on a special markdown through July 7. Starting Thursday, July 5 customers can get a 75 percent discount on any item with a lavender tag. On July 7, the final day of the sale, shoppers can get all lavender tagged items for $1.25 a pound.

Proceeds from the MITS go to support Mercer Island Youth and Family Services.
