The newest statue at Mercerdale Park appeared on Monday, Aug. 6 when it was installed by Arttech crews.

The statue, titled Reclining Woman, was done by Gizelle Berman and donated to the City by Gian-Emilio Chatrian, who lived on the Island for over 30 years.

Chatrian was a long time friend of artist Berman, who was also from Mercer Island.

The piece cost $3,830 and was paid for the Mercer Island Arts Council using Public Art Fund.
