Andrew Padgett, of Troop 647 on Mercer Island, was awarded an Eagle Bronze Palm at a Troop Court of Honor in June 2012.

The Bronze Palm is awarded for earning five additional merit badges beyond what is required for Eagle Scout and for service and leadership to the troop.

Padgett will continue his support of Troop 647 by serving as a junior assistant scoutmaster, helping to lead and mentor younger scouts.

Padgett is a senior at Mercer Island High School and is active in the drama program.
