First annual Arts Council Juried Art Exhibit reception is tonight

An artists' reception and awards ceremony will be held for the first annual Mercer Island Arts Council Juried Art Exhibit tonight, Sept. 13. Artwork from more than 44 juried artists is being exhibited.

The community is invited to attend the artists’ reception today, Sept. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mercer Island Community Center Art Gallery, located at 8236 S.E. 24th Street. The awards ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served and artists will be present.

The juried art show is open through Oct. 26 and is sponsored by the Arts Council for the City of Mercer Island and juried by Paula Stokes, of the Pratt Fine Arts Center.
