As the temperature drops and winter approaches, the Mercer Island School District reminds families to be prepared for winter weather and the effects it can have on schools.

Decisions for late starts or closures are made by Superintendent Gary Plano no later than 5:30 a.m. and posted on the Public Schools Emergency Communication System at http://schoolreport.org. Radio and television stations get their information from that site. MISD also posts updates to it's main district website in the event of a closure or late start.

Visit the MISD website to learn more.
