Thirteen-year-old Islander Marcus Schiller, along with his parents, has launched Hattachables.com, an online store where he sells his own invention: hat accessories.

Like many people, Schiller enjoys expressing himself by wearing different baseball hats.

“Because the price of having multiple hats adds up, I wanted a way to change the hats that I had,” he said. Schiller thought of a unique solution for wearing the same hat over and over again but making it look different.

With over 70 different pins available (and more coming), Hattachable founders say there are a variety of ways to express yourself.

Schiller is a hard worker both in school and in sports. Recently, he was honored as “Student of the Trimester” at Islander Middle School. He is part of a family familiar with entrepreneurship. His parents have owned and operated businesses and have helped him get things underway.
