Best books of 2012 picked by the King County Libraries

Each year members of the King County Libraries team choose the top books of 2012. This year the selection was made by the Materials Selection Team.

Best books are broken into categories including: children's picture books, children's easy readers, children's fiction, children's non-fiction, teen fiction, teen non-fiction and graphic novels, adult fiction and adult nonfiction.

The children's fiction list includes: The Land of Stories: the Wishing Spell, by Chris Colfer and Same Sun Here by Silas House.

The teen fiction list includes: Keeping the Castle by Patrice Kindl, Seraphina by Rachel Hartman and Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson.

The adult fiction list includes: Throne of the Crescent Moon by Saladin Ahmed, The Middlesteins by Jami Attenberg and Running the Rift by Naomi Benaron.
