The Seattle Humane Society and Safeway are working together to help make sure pets don't go without food this holiday season. The food will fill the shelves of the Humane Society's Pet Food Bank.

Collection barrels have been set up at local Safeway stores and donations will be collected through December.

The greatest need right now is dry cat food.

The Pet Food Bank provides food to more than 1,700 pets each month belonging to low-income seniors and people disabled by AIDS.

Food can also be donated through a Wish List at amazon.com or drop food off at the shelter located at 13212 S.E. Eastgate Way in Bellevue.
