January 28, 2013 · Updated 11:06 AM

The Vian Hunter House of Fashion will host a six-week design and sew workshop beginning Feb. 6.

Lisa Vian Hunter, a Mercer Island resident, will work with Pennie Laird-Sangerman, a master pattern maker, for the workshops.

Each week will feature a different topic, ranging from sewing 101, a pencil skirt workshop, a teen workshop and then design and pattern making — offering something for everyone.

The teen program will conclude with a runway show and portfolio presentation.

The workshops will be held at the Vian Hunter House of Fashion store, located at 2814 E. Madison Street in Seattle.
