Yogathon benefit

The Mercer Island Yoga Community is sponsoring a Yogathon from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 17 at the CCMV to benefit Mercer Island Youth and Family Services. All levels of experience are welcome. There will also be a raffle and silent auction. A minimum donation of $20 is suggested. If you are interested in being a sponsor call 275-7751 or e-mail roger.kjos@mercergov.org.

Wetland work

A Wetland Restoration Project is set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, at the Luther Burbank Park. Meet at the north end parking lot. Tools and treats will be supplied. The project is in conjunction with the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust. Everyone who participates is invited to Sammamish State Park at 1 p.m. to join other workers for their annual barbecue. MIHS Spring musical

The Mercer Island High School spring play is here. ‘Bat Boy,’ a musical by Keythe Farle and Brian Flemming, will be showing at the MIHS Auditorium May 15-17. Curtain opens at 7:30 p.m. Advanced tickets for discount price ($8) are available at the MIHS office. Door tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for students. Graduate Grams

Time to order those Graduate Grams to congratulate Island graduates from kindergarten through college with a finely-done personalized certificate. Funds from the program benefit the PTA and school programs. Download order forms from the PTSA page at www.misd.k12.wa.us/schools/hs.

The Design Commission will be holding a study session regarding the Boys and Girls Club’s proposed PEAK project tonight at 7:30 at City Hall.
