In honor of Wednesday's Giving from the Heart breakfast, which helps to support Mercer Island Youth and Family Services, 12 local Mercer Island businesses will be donating 20 percent of their proceeds today to MIYFS.

Islanders are encouraged to visit: Alpenland, Auto Spa, C.Michele Interior Lifestyles, Freshy's Seafood Market, Indulge Full Service Salon, Island Books, Pete's South Mercer Chevron, Stopsky's Deli, Studio 904 Hair Design and Spa, Tatters, Yogabliss and Yo Mercer.

Local businesses also have MIYFS glass hearts and heart art for sale as well, which also benefits the programs of MIYFS.
