The Mercer Island Youth and Family Services annual Giving from the Heart breakfast, held on Wednesday, Feb. 13, brought in close to 500 people and raised almost $120,000.

The funds raised go to the YFS programs, such as funding counselors in schools, family counseling, senior outreach and the YFS Food Bank.

"There was a room full of people contributing to the health and wellness of our Island community – it was a huge success," said MIYFS director Cynthia Goodwin in a release.
