Island summer

Registration for summer camps and classes continue through the Boys and Girls Club (www.mipositiveplace.org), the City of Mercer Island Parks and Recreation (www.mercergov.org) and Youth Theatre Northwest (www.youththeatre.org). Art everywhere

Student art from West Mercer Elementary’s fourth-graders is on display through June 13 at the Mercer Island Chamber Gallery, 7613 S.E. 27th St. The Mercer Island Visual Arts League’s (MIVAL) Junior Art Show will be held at Wells Fargo Bank during Summer Celebration, July 12 and 13. Art entries will be accepted at the bank on Monday, July 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Each entry costs $2. Participants may pick up entry forms at Wells Fargo Bank, the Chamber of Commerce, Cascade Frames and at their schools. The show is open to students who are in kindergarten through high school. Reunion season
