College Tutors invites college-bound 10th and 11th-graders to take a practice SAT or ACT test to gauge their current achievement level and readiness for college entrance exams. All colleges require either an ACT or SAT score to accompany applications.
“College admissions tests should be taken seriously by students because solid scores can bolster a college application. In some cases, schools will even award scholarships for scores that are in the top five to 10 percentile,” states Learning Center Manager Mackenzie Krause.
The tests will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, and noon on April 4 at 7605 S.E. 27th St.
College Tutors mimics the setting and timing of the actual exams. Students and parents are invited to a complementary, individualized consultation to review scored exams and highlight areas of strength and weakness.
To register, please contact the Mercer Island Learning Center at (206) 659-4156. Registration closes 24 hours in advance of each test. Individual scheduling options are also available.
