Bond wins Jazz Musician of the Year award | School news

Edward Jackson Bond, a 2013 graduate of the University of Oregon, has been named the Jazz Musician of the class of 3013 by the faculty and dean of the School of Music and Dance.

On May 18, Bond and his ensemble performed his senior recital, which was a composition of nine original works entitled, “Written to be read by the echo inside your head,” with his proud parents Marianne and Michael, and sister, Anna, in attendance.

Bond was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in music at the 2013 commencement ceremonies held on June 17 in Eugene, Ore.
