Wedding | Pearson-Bruckner
Joseph Bruckner and Krista Pearson were joined in marriage on Aug. 4, 2012. The wedding, dinner reception and dancing took place outdoors overlooking the Puget Sound at the Whidbey Island home of the groom’s grandparents, Jim and Darcy Bruckner. The wedding was officiated by a friend of the bride and groom, Sierra Fleenor, from the Harvard University Divinity School.
The bride is the daughter of Martin and Elizabeth Pearson, of Plainville, Massachusetts. The groom is the son of James and Mary Jo Bruckner, formerly of Mercer Island, who currently reside in Bellevue, Wash.
The wedding party included maid of honor Sara Tatnall, a childhood friend of the bride, from Wrentham, Massachusetts. The best man was Ed Missinne, a friend of the groom from Atlanta, Georgia. The bridesmaids included Laurel Hecker, Amy Tatnall and Emma Perkuhn, all friends of the bride from Massachusetts. Rachel Starck, of Clermont, Fla., and the groom’s cousin, was the junior bridesmaid. The groomsmen were Jacob Bruckner of Seattle, Wash., and John Paul (JP) Bruckner, of Bellevue, Wash., both brothers of the groom, and Derek Pearson, brother of the bride from Plainville, Massachusetts. Ushers were Rahn Amitai of Mercer Island and Danny Charles, from Minneapolis, Minn.
The bride and groom were honored to have three sets of grandparents in attendance for their wedding, including Krista’s grandparents, Robert and Jeanne Odam from Wrentham, Mass.; Joseph’s grandparents, Joseph and Mary Starck of New Berlin, Wis.; and Jim and Darcy Bruckner of Clinton, Wash.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of King Philip Regional High School in Wrentham and received her bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Colorado College in 2011. She is currently a veterinary medicine student at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. The groom is a 2005 graduate of Mercer Island High School and received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Colorado College in 2009. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in cell and molecular biology at the University of Wisconsin - Madison and is working as a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow.
The newlyweds honeymooned in the island of Kauai, Hawaii, and currently reside in Madison, Wis.
