TEDx event at the Mercer Island library rescheduled to Aug. 27

The TEDx Talk which was scheduled for July 17 at the Mercer Island library has been rescheduled.

The talk will now take place on Tuesday, Aug. 27 at 7 p.m.

TED Talks are devoted to spreading positive ideas from the most creative members of our society. The theme for this TEDx event is “Evolving Education.” There will be two videos and discussion. Snacks will be served.

TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to “Ideas Worth Spreading.” Started as a four-day conference in California 25 years ago, TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives.  The annual TED Conference invites the world’s leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes.

TED speakers have included Bill Gates, Al Gore, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Gilbert, Sir Richard Branson, Isabel Allende, and former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown. RSVP to elliottben0@gmail.com
