Dan Simons, an 8th-grader at Islander Middle School, won Best of Show at the junior art show at Wells Fargo Bank during Summer Celebration! on July 12 for his work entitled “Now We Are Even.” The piece is a bird cage with a cat inside and a bird outside clutching a key in its beak.
