Get ready to Leap for Green

On April 22, 2014, more than one billion people around the world took part in the 44th anniversary of Earth Day.

From towns and villages like Mercer Island to huge cities from Beijing to Cairo, Melbourne to London, Rio to Johannesburg, and New Delhi to New York, communities everywhere voiced their concerns for the planet, and are ready to take action to protect it.

Island residents are invited to join in between noon and 4 p.m. this Saturday, April 26, at the Mercer Island Community and Events Center for the seventh annual Leap for Green community sustainability fair.

This year's theme is “Learn - Act - Impact.”  Join friends and neighbors for this fun-filled day of children's activities, entertainment, food and information as local vendors, educators and entertainers share how kids and adults can learn, act and then impact sustainability in our community.
