Rindlaub-Chester Wedding

Alison Rindlaub and Dan Chester were married in Custer, Wash., on July 12, 2008 under a tent on the Tail Skid Meadows farm. Chris Manginelli, of Four Square Church in Mill Creek, Wash., officiated the ceremony. The wedding party and guests stayed at the nearby Semiahmoo Resort.

The bride is the daughter of John and Sarah Rindlaub, of Mercer Island, and the groom is the son of Steve and Janet Chester, of Marysville, Wash. A 1998 graduate of Mercer Island High School, the bride received her Bachelor of Arts from Pomona College in 2003 and is presently a foreign exchange specialist at Wells Fargo Bank in Seattle. The groom graduated from Lake Stevens High School in 1999 and immediately followed his entrepreneurial bent by founding a computer networking company, Zypes, Inc., where he is the co-owner and manager. The couple met through their love of volleyball, and they continue to play in numerous high-level tournaments together.

The bride’s sisters, Susan and Julia, were the maids of honor with other attendants: Annie Chester, sister of the groom; Naomi LaCoss, Nazra Knutsen, Tracy Motz, Johanna Werther and Julie Wilson. The best man was Hoku Kim and the groomsmen were Ronny Knutsen, Charlie Dresow, Selig Tobiason and Dave Ganje. The bride’s cousins, Katie Huffert and her brother, Sean, were the flower girl and ring bearer, respectively.

The couple recently honeymooned in Australia and makes their home in Green Lake, Wash.
