5k run for cancer
April 14, 2009 · Updated 2:12 PM
The Island’s first Relay for Life 5k run/walk, organized by MIHS graduates Bennett and David Addison, along with their cousin, Sperry Robinson, will take place at Luther Burbank Park on Saturday, April 26.
In memory of Robinson’s mother, who recently passed away from cancer, the three cousins set out to establish their own Relay for Life event, benefiting the American Cancer Society.
MIHS graduate Sarah McFadden, a friend of Addison’s, has encouraged the MIHS track and cross country teams to help set up the event, which starts at 8 a.m.
