The Mercer Island City Council is seeking citizens to volunteer on several advisory boards. Appointments are made by the mayor and affirmed by the City Council. Generally, terms run June 1 through May 31, for a four-year period. Members can expect to spend about 10 hours a month serving, although this varies. The following boards are open: Arts Council, Design Commission, Open Space Conservancy Trust, Planning Commission, Senior Commission, Utility Board and Youth and Family Services Board. The application deadline is Friday, May 1.
