The St. Monica Parish School community has named Michele (McDonald) McCarthy as its 2010 Distinguished Graduate.
McCarthy is an active member of the St. Monica Parish School community, serving as a parent volunteer, on the school commission, budget committee and the Parish Finance Commission before being employed at St. Monica Parish as the pastoral associate for administration.
McCarthy’s deep-rooted faith and commitment to Catholic education is evident in her life’s choice of careers and her children’s education. She has distinguished herself as a strong advocate for the future of Catholic schools.
After graduating from St. Monica Parish School, McCarthy attended Seattle Prep and remained active in St. Monica Parish. She attended the University of Santa Clara, where she met her husband, Pat.
McCarthy is the daughter of Deacon Larry and Karen McDonald. Both of McCarthy’s children attended St. Monica Parish School — Jack graduated in 2007, and Claire will graduate this year.
