The third annual Leap for Green celebration will take place on April 24 at the Community Center at Mercer View. The family-centered event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The celebration happens entirely because of volunteers, and the city is already seeking Islanders to help with this year’s event. In particular, the city is looking for people who can work together in organizing and planning events for the 2010 Leap for Green. Volunteers able to work at the event are also needed.
