The Northwest Yeshiva High School of Mercer Island held its graduation ceremony on June 16 for the 26 members of the class of 2010.

In the back row, from left, are: Aaron Ziontz, Ari Greenberg, Chaim Kohen, Nina Breen, Emmanuel Hanoh-Coleman, Shira Genauer, Ephraim Adatto, Dinah Robsman, Danny Medved, Zelle Rettman, Albert Mezistrano, Shoshana Goldberg, Ari Langman, Yonah Reback, Alex Behar, Avinoam Baral and Jonah Kohen.

In the front, from left, are graduates: Sophie Price, Emily Rothman, Halen Baker, Nicki Etsekson, Courteney Nolet, Tanya Friedland, Rebecca Black, Tmima Shupack and Carol Jacobson.

Mercer Island residents include twins Chaim Kohen and Jonah Kohen, who are the valedictorians of College Prep Studies and are former Islander Middle School students. Islander Nicki Etsekson is the recipient of the Principal’s Award. Island resident Danny Medved will spend next year studying in Israel before entering college in California.

Other graduates will attend the University of Washington, Brandeis University, Boston University, University of British Columbia, LaFayette University, Denison University, Smith College, Touro College, Stern College, Seattle Pacific University, and Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
