Island authors present at Summer Celebration!

Six Mercer Island authors will be present during Summer Celebration! on July 10 and 11 at the Mercer Island Covenant Church booth. MICC has a booth among nine other nonprofit organizations this year that will feature giveaways for youngsters, a “Wheel of Fortune” with prizes for adults and a new feature, “Meet the Authors.”

The church has eight published writers among its membership.

“That may seem a bit unusual for a church our size,” said Greg Asimakoupoulos, pastor. “But it typifies our congregation of accomplished people.” The authors present at the booth will include Asimakoupoulos, Thelma Ritchie, Margaret Brand, Aida Kouyoumjian, Diane Kinman and Joe McDonald.
