Mercer Island painter receives Special Recognition Merit Award for art

Artist Esther Akrish, of Mercer Island, received a Special Recognition Merit Award for artwork in the "12th Annual Landscape Juried Online International Art Exhibition," hosted by Upstream People Gallery. Special recognition goes to her painting titled "Pathway to the Beach."

The art can be viewed in the online Upstream People Gallery exhibition through next summer, closing June 30, 2011.
