Brothers Four to perform in Kirkland
Leaders in the folk revival movement in the late 1950s, The Brothers Four will celebrate five decades of harmonies at Kirkland Performance Center at 8 p.m. Sept. 11.
Their musical score includes million-sellers such as “Greenfields,” “Yellowbird,” “Across the Wide Missouri,” and their hit, “The Green Leaves of Summer,” which debuted in the hit motion picture, The Alamo.
Fraternity brothers from the University of Washington in Seattle, The Brothers Four began singing together in 1956. Their Golden Anniversary concert at KPC will feature close harmonies over banjo, bass, vocal and guitar arrangements.
Tickets ($35 all seats) are available online at www.kpcenter.org or by calling the KPC Box Office at 425-893-9900. For more information, visit www.kpcenter.org.
