The Mercer Island Jazz Program will present a Summer Jazz Jam at the South End Starbucks Sunday, June 10 from 2-4 p.m.

Students from the high school jazz band will perform standards, and some notable alumni will join in. These include singer Gennie Gebhart, pianist Leeran Raphaely, flutist Lauren Asimakoupoulos and guitarist Ben Fang, all of the class of 2009, and bassist Zach Hartmann of the class of 2011. Alex Dugdale, a Garfield High School graduate and friend of Fang's from the Eastman School of Music, will also join on saxophone.

Sheet music will be provided for anyone else who would like to come and play or sing, as this event is open to the community.

Look for posters around town for more information or join the Facebook event "Summer Jazz Jam."
