An artful transformation is unfolding in the lobby of the Symetra Building on the corner of 108th Avenue Northeast and Northeast Eighth Street in downtown Bellevue, with the opening of the Eastside Association of Fine Arts (EAFA) 34th Annual Open Juried Art Exhibition.

The association, in collaboration with the Bellevue Arts Commission, has transformed the Symetra lobby into a public art gallery with over 120 of works of art on display.

Hundreds of artists from across the state have submitted works for this year’s exhibition with juror, Seattle artist Lyle Silver, narrowing the final field to the best of the best now on display.

People are able to view and purchase paintings and sculpture from a large and diverse selection of local and regional artists.

The show runs from October 19 through November 13, and is free and open to the public Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m-1 p.m. The Symetra Building is located at 777 108th N.E.

The public can attend the Artists’ Reception and Awards Ceremony to be held 1-4 p.m., Saturday October 24. Musical entertainment will be provided by the Redmond High School Chamber Orchestra. Admission is free and refreshments will be provided.
