Amelia Piano Trio to perform at UW's Meany Hall

Amelia Piano Trio will perform as part of University of Washington's World Series at Meany Hall on Wednesday, Dec. 2. The program will begin at 8 p.m., and will include work by Shostakovich, Beethoven and Chopin. Formed in 1999, the Amelia Piano Trio came together after participating in Issac Stern's Chamber Music Workshop at Carnegie Hall in 2000.

The trio was mentored by Stern and went on to tour in 2003, performing works by contemporary composers such as John Harbison and Daron Hagen.
