BPO to present ‘Destination Springtime’

The Bellevue Philharmonic Orchestra and Michael Miropolsky will present the pops concert “Destination Springtime” on March 20, 7:30 p.m. and March 21, 2 p.m. at the Theatre at Meydenbauer (11100 NE Sixth St., Bellevue).

The show will include a selection of light classics including “Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana” by Mascagni, “Roses from the South” by J. Strauss, Jr., “Massenet’s Meditation” from Thais, Brahms’ “Hungarian Dance No. 5,” Joseph and Johann Strauss’ “Pizzicato Polka” and Elgar’s “Nimrod from Enigma Variations.

Broadway elements will include “Porgy and Bess” by George Gershwin, “My Fair Lady” by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe, and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Phantom of the Opera.”
