Jazz icons, celebrated regional artists and high school all stars will perform in free and ticketed venues throughout Downtown Bellevue June 3-6.
The third edition of the Bellevue Jazz Festival will feature headliners at the 410-seat Theatre at Meydenbauer Center and experience an array of regional jazz talent at more than 30 free concerts in downtown restaurants, hotels and cultural spaces.
Headliner acts include GRAMMY winning trumpeter Terence Blanchard, electrifying jazz trio The Bad Plus, jazz guitarist Pat Martino, piano duo Bill Charlap and Renee Rosnes, emerging vocalist Sachal Vashandani, and the 17-piece Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra featuring the Bellevue Jazz Festival Rising Stars.
In addition to the festival’s featured artist performances, free jazz shows will showcase regional artists throughout downtown. Combos from award-winning school jazz programs will also perform in the festival’s Student Showcase. These 45-minute sets will highlight the rich and diverse offerings presented by members of the local middle and high school jazz scene.
