Electronics recycling event to benefit soccer team

The Eastside RED FC U-18 Soccer Boy’s Team will be collecting recyclable items from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 6 to support team travels to tournaments throughout the United States.

The event,at Bellevue College, will accept computers, printers, fax machines, radios, TV’s, VCR’s, and other electronics. Batteries, and other hard-to-recycle items will also be accepted. The collection is in partnership with 1 Green Planet, a non-profit recycling organization that gives back to the community. 

Eastside FC U-18 is a Premier 1 Soccer Club with the mission of providing premier-level soccer development to boys who have a goal of reaching their full potential and possibly playing in college.

The U-18 players attend numerous Eastside high schools and many have been nominated to Kingco Teams and several at the Olympic Development level. Two players, Taylor Berg and Stuart Ellsworth played on Sammamish High School’s varsity team four others, Kyle Savette, Nick Shankland, Perry Nunes and Connor Duggan played on Newport High School’s varsity team.
