Concerts set at Marymoor
Two concerts have been set at Marymoor Park, one in June and the other in July
Slightly Stoopid with Steel Pulse and The Expendables will perform at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 19.
Slightly Stoopid has been playing their rock/reggae/hip-hop/punk fusion for 15 years. The band has released five studio albums, a live disc and even a concert DVD. Opening acts are Steel Pulse and The Expendables.
Sublime with Rome and The Dirtyheads will perform at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 7.
Former Sublime bassist Eric Wilson and drummer Bud Gaugh have teamed up with vocalist and guitarist Rome Ramirez to play the ska punk / hip hop blend that Sublime was famous for under original band member Brad Nowell, who died in 1996.
Sublime with Rome is working on their debut album, which is currently scheduled for release next year.
Opening for Sublime with Rome are The Dirtyheads, whose ska-tinged sound has earned them kudos from Rolling Stone magazine.
Tickets for these and all other Concerts at Marymoor shows are available online at http://www.concertsatmarymoor.com/, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Marymoor Park business office.
Located on the great lawn next to the historic Clise Mansion, Marymoor's state-of-the-art venue offers outstanding staging, production and acoustics in an intimate park setting. The picturesque venue has space for 1,000 reserved seats and 4,000 general admission lawn tickets, many of them elevated on an earthen berm.
